Q. How long have you worked at property?
A. Two months - started the best job ever here in July!
Q. What is your favorite hole at the course and why?
A. Hole number #14 is my favorite hole. The hole itself is the most picturesque hole I have ever played and the hole design demands a perfect shot. The wind and the elevation change requires you to choose less club. You’re now faced with a make or break shot. If you come up short, you’re hitting the next one from the drop area; but if you hit it long, you’re faced with a very difficult up and down.
Q. What is you favorite spot on Kauai (can be a hike, to eat, to relax, to surf, etc)?
A. The chipping green at Kukuiolono Park & Golf Course (our sister course in Kalaheo). They have the best view of the west side of Kauai and Ni’ihua. Kuks is a special grounding place for me because it was the first golf course I ever played. I got to share the same experience with my son (photo of Tom’s son at Kuks, ok to share on website blog story).
Q. Favorite dish or drink at Hualani’s?
A. Kiawe Smoked Ahi Dip, I love the light smokey flavor with the sweetness of the tobiko, and the fresh herbs from the farm - broke Da mouth ono.
Q. What is something not many people know about you that you don’t mind sharing?
A. I am dyslexic. I apologize if my emails and texts are sometimes confusing - I promise I’m trying. I prefer face to face conversation or zoom meetings! 😊
